Replacement horn...

Barney, strangely enough I may have a horn you can have for cheap. Need to test it. Never used my horn (never) and replaced with a single horn (weight saving cos I am sad) so have a dual horn spare. Ill test it tomorrow and if it works Ill let you know. Otherwise any horn from a mk3 works, some had doubles, some had singles, the plug is the same.

So only just got round to trying to fix this. Horn is still not working.
Looking at getting an aftermarket one but they all seem to have the two spade connectors (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Electric...YiOjMsInNvIjoxNTAwLCJjIjoxNzQwMjR9&rmvSB=true) while my current connectors are a single pin one. Guessing I would have to manually splice the wires or is there a converter I can get?
Ideally need this fixed by tomorrow so cant be waiting around for random parts really...

Just use a dual terminal horn and make a little earth wire up for the earth terminal, Check it with a h7 bulb before shelling out on a horn as 50% of horn failures are contacts/wiring you’ll just need a ring terminal and six inches of wiring to an appropriate spade, bolt the ring down and away you go

So checked and replaced fuse under the steering wheel to be double sure it isnt that.
The white connector to the horn is getting around 26 volts when I press it so fairly sure it's the actual horn that has died. Weird that both of them failed?
Looks like im gonna have to get a new horn then. Still not sure how to connect the two prong 'spade' style horns to my current harness (Pics below), sorry I'm shite at car electronics...
Main connection to loom:
This then connects to a small wire which splits into two pairs of these 'pin' connectors which connect directly to the horns:
Obviously very rusty and tried cleaning them but really hard to get to and doesnt seem to have made a difference anyway.

A second hand horn from eBay is a tenner. If it doesnt work, send it back for a refund. No cutting, no splicing, no fiddling with wires. All mk3's have the same connection.

Your multimeter is knackered if you were getting 26v at the horn (or see later explanation!), you will get a steady battery voltage if it’s correct with a continuous press! Use the earth on the battery for the earth lead, and then see what you get, you may have seen 26v due to back emf from a relay, hence me saying hold the horn on continuously and see what you get then

Sorry forgot to mention I was being an idiot and using the wrong setting on the multimeter, it is a 12v line.
