2 piece discs

after some opinions on 2 piece discs for my meg’d 197 cup
Cars mainly track only, have seen the Godspeed ones and the Ktec PF kit, but there’s a fair price difference is there a quality/life span difference?

Will likely go for ds 1. 11’s with them

I’ve run PF for some time and they are excellent but I’ve also used Godspeed and they are excellent too. Main difference between the two are PF are floating and Godspeed aren’t. Will you notice the difference? Probably not. I will be changing to Godspeed myself shortly as they are almost half the price. PM me if you’re interested in a set.

So for a track only car the PF floating discs would be worth the extra money?
Depends on how heavy you are on the brakes I guess! With the correct disc/pad/cooling combo, I can’t see why you’d need floating discs. But I’m not heavy on the brakes, so I can only base it on my driving style.

Martin @ Reyland will make you some floating bell and rotors mate as well, and I imagine Godspeed could do the same.

Well hopefully I’ll be quite heavy on the brakes now with my turbo’d lump! Haha

Would rather get something that can more than handle what I need.

So PF discs and some 1.11’s seem the way forward.

I wouldn’t discount the Godspeed or Reyland options either personally mate.

Another thing to think about it that a replacement set of PFC rotors are around £600 delivered which is more than a completely new Godspeed brake set. I’ve almost worn my rotors out after track use and will be changing to Godspeed now.

Fully floating as mentioned above is better for heat displacement however floating have a habit of gunking up and when this happens they start to vibrate. They require regular checks to ensure that they are in peak performance.

I managed to warp my Reylands unfortunately. Got them skimmed on the car and they are good again but once they are done with i'm going to keep the bells and fit some AP discs I think.

Can’t fault my 330mm Godspeed discs and bells. Both ian and Ben are very helpful
