Brilliant looking 200 Rick.

How do you get on with the DSG on the R32?? I've thought about one for a few years but always been put off by people saying the DSG isn't great! What's the potential on a remap without turbocharging? I'd want to keep it N/A..

Thanks mate! I own the car for 2,5 years now a until now no problems with the DSG. I've done a couple of changes such as a new timing chains and the normal maintances, it has a KW-V3 and Yokohama Ad08r tyres on it. It's a real allrounder! But i can't compare the R32 with the Clio, i can take fast corners with the Golf but with the Clio is such so much easier and it just feels like there is plenty of grip left. Again the R32 is much faster, they are both great in there own way. Remap is just useless in my opnion. Other people have tried it and i just makes it a little bit more smooth that's all. I love it just the way it is

Well it's official, the first 1,5 lap has been driven on the Nürburgring. I have put the ad08r's on it the day before, the first impression on the Ring is that it has plenty(!!) of grip. The standard brakes are already good(i havent put the ferodo's on yet). I had a lot of fun, and at first the speed doesnt dissapoints me in compare with the R32. I was worried that it will be to stiff with the Cobra springs that are mounted, but again at first is feels good! The only thing that's not allright is the gear change.. From 2nd to 3nd and al the higher gears it's real hard to put it in to gear (only almost at the red line) it doesnt crunch but i must use a lot of forse and it takes a few seconds..

So if anybody has got a solution? I read there are a lot of problems with the synchromeshes, but again it doesnt crunch?

All in all it was a good day and a lot of fun! A pic of action and a few parts that are already there

I have the exact same problem, but my shift times are not longer than a second. It is slowing me down on track though. I changed my gearbox oil to Ravenol Racing, but it hasn't completely solved it. Low rpm and cold driving the shift has improved massively and is now silky smooth. High rpm is still notchy and sluggish to change gear.

I honestly don't believe that the gearbox oil will fix this thing, altough Big Ben has a point in being the first and cheapest option. I will contact a company tommorow who fixes all kind of gearboxes for us at work. I will post an update what there advice will be. Edit= the shift times feels like it takes seconds, but i think in real time it's doesnt take that kind of time

Hello again, well i have couple of updates coming in the following months. I have bought bucket seats and harnesses, wheel spacers and now i'm planning on buying a half rollcage from Wiechers. I can choose any color i want. I think Brembo red would be nice. Does anyone knows what color code that is?
