My RS('S)

Time for an update on the GP

On collection, my drivers seat bolster was a bit shot, time for a repair

Luckily I've got a mate that works as a car upholsterer, new material from Capital Seating

It came out really well, he wrapped the foam with felt for protection

Shuv's alarm bracket as mine was completely shot

Drivers side rear caliper had also seen better days

A good excuse for new discs all round, off side rear caliper, Ds2500 front pads, braided lines & RBF600 fluid

PuJp4oq.jpg

& a Pure Motorsport rear shim kit, was a bitch to fit

Next up, new PS4 rubber, TPI black lockers & centre caps

Like a **** I picked a small part of my steering wheel, bad move, in then peeled pretty bad, so I got hold of an old wheel & dropped it to my mate

This takes us to August 17

The family car

After booking it in with Mark at MRS & a 6 week wait, it was time to drop the GP off, 2 days before we flew to Gran Canaria for a week. Messages were interesting

Mark was the only person that bothered getting back to me & answering all of my questions

back to RST

It made 270/325 which I was pleased with, the donor car was a good buy, in the megane it came from with a 3" exhaust it made 275/330

Spec, R26 gearbox, 250 turbo, forged rods, Arp's, short shifter, forger actuator, recirc & intercooler, decat, 630 injectors, TTV flywheel, uprated clutch, Samco hoses, fresh fluid's & plugs, Powerflex engine mounts complete (except for the front top left), cam belt, water pump & aux kit.

1 of my springs had snapped so I opted for a set of Grams while it was at MRS

Collection day

How’d you find the grams springs? I have them also

If I remember, you recommend them Just before I bought them [emoji106]

There not to bad apart from all the pot holes all over the place after all the frosts we've had & the ear ache I get when the Mrs is in the car [emoji21]

They'll be off & for sale soon

Great thread Nick, some brilliant cars you've had!! (and by your own admission...some not so good  )

S3 daily and a Meg'd RS Clio - you've got a nice choice of 'what car to take?' every day.
