when locking the car, press once to lock and twice to deadlock, upon deadlocking im getting a vibrating noise coming from the passager side door. now could this be something loose or faulty solenoid, are the lock and deadlock seperate parts in the door or one whole unit. any help appreciated.

could it be the deadlock mechinism sticking...

have you tried the good old "unlock the door - open - slam shut" fix??

havent tried that, but the door does get used regulary, its got worse because a week or two ago it would do it the first time, then if you unlocked and locked and deadlock it wouldnt do it, i suppose i will have get the door card of and have a look.

hi guys, had this on my deadlocking loud buzzing/grinding noise
means a dropped solenoid resulting in alock replacement had mine done at RS SPECIALIST WORCESTER last week

excuse the ignorance. but what does deadlock mean?

On older cars it was a secondary lock as suchs that locked the door instead of the latch, whether its the same on the clio i dont know, so basically you could break the latch/lock to get in but the door wont open because its lock inplace

What you mean by dropped solenoid? Its physically dropped or its faulty? What was the price on a new unit, if you dont mind me asking.

i got told its were the solenoid drops in the mechanism, how true this is im not sure as didnt get shown it,i got it done under warranty so didnt pay but i think it was looking at 300 notes otherwise they said
