I seem to remember finding something for the Clio that was a bilstein shock related. Think I saw on demon tweeks or something.
It will be the b8 shock or something. Usually uprated by 30% over standard so given that the cup setup is 27% over standard that would be quite a good match I'd imagine. The overall damping from a bilstein shock is very good I found when I used to use them on my saxo before the clio. They have done 60k now on it and are still mint.
Thanks, when I was looking at suspension for my E46, only heard good things about the B8 shock.
Yeh they are mint shocks to be fair. Always stiff just when you need them to be yet soft enough to iron out the roads. However don't get me wrong.....when you hit a bump you should of avoided you very much know about it. Makes me cringe when it happens.
Just looked on europerformance and they list bilstein for Clio C but isn't the right engine power but does say 2.0 16v. But 139kw output. So will be rated for the wrong axel weight I'd imagine.

Why so against coilovers litchy, is it just cost?
Unfortunately most people spend money on coilovers, then fit them at home or get a normal garage to do it. Coilovers are utterly, utterly pointless without good money spent on the setup.
I agree. It cost me £150 to set mine up at a specialist company. Unfortunately with the conditions of how roads, hit some big pot holes and you'll find it will need setting up again.....lets be honest, most people buy collies so that they can go low. Once they have lowered it, they never touch them again....
You will never get a better set than V3's they are the ultimate but as you say 1400 for road use = no point. Mine were set up and corner weighted and 4 wheel aligned and from day 1 they transformed the car. A corner taken at 50 on cup suspension could be taken at well over 80 and still feel safe. Throw a set of semi slicks on and it's a very nifty track car. I loved it. Yes I was low but say goodbye to ure arch liners lol.
V1 arnt that expensive for the quality you get mate.
