What got stuck in the tyre ?

Wifey's car got a puncture on dual carriage way - almost instant deflation, and damage !!

What do you reckon caused that - she says she didnt see anything, but that probably because she was caning it at the time :smiley:

Ouch, that could have been anything mate. I slashed one of mine a while back, put a 2" cut through my sidewall and I never saw it (was night), admittedly I was also canning it :smiley:

Also, those arch liners are a bit pricey from Renault (£50-£60 IIRC). Might be worth ringing a couple of scrap yards first if you wanna save some pennies.
 
...had something similar in my 200 in 2010...on M6 near Liverpool, I hear a massive bag and then realised the tyre had deflated....pulled over and there was a no.16 coach bolt embedded in my inner wheel arch and the tyre was pretty much shredded.....I reckon you drove over a bolt or something similar....
 
I do the odd puncture repair in my mate's garage when he's super busy and you wouldn't believe some of the things I've pulled out of tyres. That deffo looks like a bolt has gone in.
