What gear box will fit ??

As per titel what gearbox will fit a ph1 172 ?? Will a 182 drop in ? And difference in ratios etc , not bothered about top end at all , any help most appreciated ta

I've seen a few people have used the Audi box from the 1.8t. But these have been on high power Clios

Yes seen that myself lad up Liverpool way can't remember his name owns about 80 cars lol he dropped the whole engine in too !

I'm a little out of touch with the 172/182's now, but I know they all fit, but the 182 uses a different speedo sensor. So you won't get a reading if you use that, unless you drill the box and fit your ph1 connection.

172 Cup has the best/shorter ratios. Although I feel the ph1 box is ideal.
