Thump when releasing clutch

Hi Guys.

Just wondering what the thump could be. It only happens once when the car has been standing over night or for very long periods of time.
As soon as i completely release the clutch and drive off i get this thump sound after that the no sounds and the car drive fine no issues with gears or clutch.
i Had it with my Megane F1 too and the Renault dealer said its the abs activating (not sure about that)

Hope this makes sense. Thank you.

I'd of said slightly sticking pads ?? Or abs module as your dealer has said ??? Maybe it's a small Bolivian family living in your back box , and the thump is them falling out off bed ?? No ?? Probably not

I get this too, overnight or on a cold engine, couple of times then it drives perfect. I just ignore it :tongueout:

I swear this is the common sticking rear pads issue...not a clutch, it would do it constantly if it was the clutch IMO, and what you've described is what sounds like the rear pads that stick after a long stand still overnight etc

Id double check buddy.
