Thumping exhaust

Hi, going to have lots of questions from me, good and bad; some retarded.

Anyway, on idle at the side of the road, there sounds to be a thumping here and there from the exhaust? It's not constant but it does happen regularly. Is this unspent fuel and is this normal? Just eliminating whether it needs anything done IE: Plugs, Injectors etc. Want the best for this car.

They do 'thud' 'pop' on idle on times. Just those small ones you can faintly hear.

I had this problem found out to be a misfire on cylinder. Ultimately it was the injector that was gone
