standard 197 cd player

Right, bit of a longshot, but does the standard cd player play mp3 cds??

I tried an mp3 cd in mine about 4 months ago. It didn't work! Just said disc error I think. I bought a cable for mine, it goes in the back of the headunit and allows you to play anything with a 3.5 mm phone jack through it. The able was about a tenner off ebay and took about 10 mins to fit. You have to operate the music input device such as Ipod to change tracks etc. But it might be worth a look rather than forking out for a new unit.

where is the AUX? how can I remove my radio from the dashboard please?

So I got my 2007 Clio RS and I have a CD-radio in it, where the source button show the option of AUX! And I have the jack-jack cable, so I would able to connect my iPod to the car stereo, but where is the AUX?

Yeah it says it plays them, but me too, I had CD Error come up on mine.
