Cup 197 to Standard for Comfort?

After running cup suspension for close to 100k miles I'm thinking when the suspension is next refreshed, to go for the standard 197 setup for a little more comfort on bumpy roads.

If anyone has tried both, will there be a noticeable difference in comfort? Also will the loss of the cup make it feel a bit too soft?

Yes and yes

It’s quite a bit different, and you will lose the cup feel. It doesn’t detract from the brilliant chassis though

I have cup dampers and grams springs - I wish I kept the non-cup setup and maybe with Eibach springs.
 
Can I suggest Eibach pro springs (and decent dampers) instead? I came from standard setup but wanted more control with compliance. I’ve found this to be a good compromise.

It is, although the cost of a full new standard factory setup is about 20% of the value of my car at this point. If anyone has a low mileage standard 197 shocks and springs all round for sale let me know...
