Seatbelts.. removal?

How easy are the front seat belts to remove?

I want to give mine a proper full clean and then dye them

I know the bottom is simply a bolt, but what about the reel part of the belt

You have to remove the b pillar trim right down to the floor, which isn't too bad a job. However the pre tensioners also need disconnecting and the plug is very flimsy and tamper proof. I just snipped mine in the end ( was fitting harnesses anyway ).

Atm not too sure. I do like the yellow ones that some 200's have though.

I need them off as RIT dye needs to be nice and hot for it to take fully.

Funnily enough I've just took mine out today, I bought an older seatbelt for a Clio off eBay to put in the drivers side temporarily. I'm sending them away to be rewebbed in red. You need to take out the rear inner quarter panel trim, its only clipped in, unless you have rear speakers which need to be removed first, you also need to unlock the rear seats as the plastic panel goes round the locking device. A screw driver and that's done.

Just had my seat belts back from having them re webbed in red, the job was excellently done and only cost £40 per belt. Very pleased, matches my UR car a treat!
