Renault Sport Clio 197 Racing Red

Haha...still thinking about it considering that I do only one track day per year.

Today I've tried his car without the LSD and with the Clubsport and I can't notice the difference between the V3 & Clubsport.

However it would be nice to have them.

You won't feel the difference on road..but 100€ is a bargain for bump from economic to premium class
I am getting what you aren't..clubs or v3..

After the wash & clean of the coilovers (ordered new torx bolts because one is slightly damaged):

Had my wheels aligned just 2h ago.

Didn't drive much time today to test them out thoroughly. Just got home to have lunch and to get back to work (driving Opel Combo  ).

However, they're stiff on the default setup (9/5 & 9/5) as were my V3 on the stiffer setup.
I've lowered the rear more than on V3 and now it remains to be seen if the rear axle touches the exhaust pipe with 2 passengers in the rear.

They are great on normal road but on the roads with transverse holes (like speed bumps) you can feel they are MUCH stiffer than V3.

If you want softer ride on my V3's than you would find the Clubsport's awful for your driving style and expectations.

And if you listen very carefully you can hear them (probably the valves and the oil) working.

Overall I'm extremely happy with the Clubsport's - they're even better than I thought they would be (when listening to all those stories about their stiffness compared to the V3's).

And had the car on the dyno yesterday morning.

I still can't figure out why there are such massive differences when doing the run in 4th gear (~183bhp max) od 5th gear (~200bhp max)...

My car compared to the stock Clio 200 (both in 5th gear):

To have <7s 100-200km/h in a 1300kg Clio 197/200 you would need 550-600bhp at least.

A friend of mine has a Clio 172 Ph1 Turbo with ~400bhp and has ~8s 100-200km/h.

After a long time thinking about installing Citroen C3 washer jets I finally installed them:

And managed to clean the bonnet underneath the heat shield and underneath the washer jets.

Tested them @ 210km/h and they are much better than stock.

Impressions?

Massive improvement on the throttle response, especially when pressing fast and full throttle on/off.

Great mod for 200€. One of a couple of mods that made me smile when testing.

RED - recommended
GREEN - something in between the RED and stock - I can't say there's much of a difference STOCK vs GREEN but there's a difference.

BTW: I have a 64mm TB.
