Hmm...was thinking earlier that recaro's cost an extra grand to spec yet they dont affect your GFV.

Does this mean you could swap them for standard sport seats before handing the car back thus potentially saving the best part of a grand?

No options are counted in GFV, mainly because options are worth next to nothing when selling to the trade.

The sensible way to get Recaros to me would be to buy them later and retrofit so you can sell them on separately to the car and put the original standard seats in.

You don't have to trade the car back into Renault, so long as it gets paid off, they don't care - so, sell Recaros and punt it into the trade with a grand back in your ass pocket.

Except that costs a fortune.

I doubt the dealer would check the spec upon return, so long as the car appears "complete". Your risk though if they do spot it...
