Recaro won't slide when using the flap

My passenger Recaro has developed a fault whereby I can't slide it forward using the flap. Instead, I have to tilt it forward with the flap and then slide it forward using the bar underneath the front.

Has anyone else had this problem and is it a simple fix?

yep i have and i cant get it fixed

Its the seat cable, under the seat, mine broke, i manage to fix it temp by using an old bike brake cable and crimping it onto the original. Eventually i brought a new cable from karl and replaced it.

£70 eugh. I'd rather buy an Oulton cage so I don't have to take passengers!

Yes it's for when people want to get into the back seat Giles. I might see if I can transplant the one from the Driver's seat as no-one ever sits behind me anyway.

ah I think the cable could be stuck or broken.
