(new member) Advice needed PLEASE!

Hello people, this is my first thread(apart from the one that I introduced myself) and before I start I would like to mention that I LOVE my Clio. I know it rattles, it's NOT the fastest car ever (on a straight line), it's not the most reliable (I have it for over a month and the error lights on my dashboard reminds me a Christmas tree lol), but it looks the business, its handling easily compares to the most intensive orgasm ever and it sounds brilliant! happy man!

Anyway, I went to the dealers the other day to fix a broken door lock switch and to check the engine management light(still under warranty). they blamed the sparkplugs (31k, 4 years old, apparently it misfired), they also blamed the spark plugs for the jumpy behaviour when it's cold, and the quoted me £180!!

I mean..come on! the spark plugs cost £50 so do they actually charge £130 just to fit them? I can afford paying for it but I strongly refuse. It's a rip-off! So my question is, can you people please recommend me a good specialist in London, or around London(I live in Maida Vale btw)? I've spoken to the people from extended warranty and they told me that it would be valid even if I service my car elsewhere and not to the dealers. I don't mind a bit of travelling but I wouldn't like to make a whole journey just for a service! Thank you very much and sorry for the essay!

With regard to the 'jumping' when cold, i wouldn't worry as all seem to do it.

Speak to twingogeeko on here he just supplied my spark plugs, they arrived today, he will get a good deal for you and theres a how to on the forum, im not that mechanically minded and i still managed to change em no bother, hope this helps?

Hello again and thanks for your input. The car misfired just once (actually the engine management light went on for 5 seconds and that was it) so basically I decided to leave it for now and wait for the 4th service which will be in 3 months. That's why I was looking for a decent garage around London but I still can't find one. I suppose I am gonna have to take it to the dealers but change the sparkplugs by myself. Thanks again people!
