MW signal fault????

hi,
I have just bought a Kenwood BT40u headunit, but the thing is I cant get any MW signals? (ie talksport etc..)
I could get perfect signal's in the standard headunit.
anyone have any ideas???

No mate, as the aerial does not need boosting like some cars. have you got the standard aerial still on? If you have and you can get other radio bands, it appears to point to a fault with the headunit possibly?

Yeh, it's got the standard aerial. I'll have to send the unit back then.... Dam!

I'd check the function isn't switched off first. Some of the newer models have this feature, including the standard HU in the 200.

Can you select MW and then get no signal/stations.....or can you not select MW on the unit?

i can select MW, but just have no signal.? I can get FM stations.
I've ordered a different aerial adaptor just in case the one I have is wrong/faulty?

cool...glad your sorted. Did you not have a fakra adaptor then, or was your original one faulty?
