My guess is McLaren won't reveal the time until Ferrari formally release there's to avoid being gazumped. Not great marketing for the car if after bragging about beating the porker and then get beaten by Le Ferrari.

But that could seriously backfire on them if the Ferrari goes faster still. Mclaren will look like right muppets if they have to say their time is slower.
As mentioned before its more likely that they didn't beat the Porsche.

I reckon they beat the Porsche, hence now saying they've done sub 7, but by not shouting from the roof tops about what the time is, if Ferrari do beat it they'll just still say it was sub 7 mins and not fussed by the times. Covering they're backs.
I'm 99% sure that it beat the Porsche by quite a bit! I was at the ring when the car was going around and it looked incredible!!! Apparently a spectator timed it and it was in the region of 6:44 but I'm not sure how true that is
