good on you for trying it. I hope for your sake you have a lot more luck than me with my Fiesta ST SC kit.
 
Litchy it will be good mate, your mate steve in the fiesta was there today and saw it, looked impressed lol! Its just tweaking the fueling now. Last little bits. Bics kit ran fine for 6 months with no probs. The good thing doing it on mine now is they know how to do both 197/200. The 197 is tighter at the front and the pipe work is different. But just a few mods and it fits like a glove :smile:
 
Its going to be running a safe 260'ish. It will be fine on the standard internals. Had a long chat with jamsport about it. Think 280 really would be pushing it. It will be fine as it is!! The sound is just f*cking awesome lol!!! At has got a bit out of hand lol

edit-this is also on standard cams, my cams will push it up as will.

Good work, but seems a lot of work for 40 bhp? Fingers crossed for....but I get the feeling your right at the limits with there.....I am not convinced this engine is a good starting position for charging.....Steves a good bloke and he's got a list of things he's going to be doing for me.

Dont forget my cams will push the power up again, above standard it will be pushed 60/70bhp. Mine maybe 50ish?! But with more torque the drivability will be better.

Dont be put off by seans, think the company who did it were pushing the limits perhaps? Who was it anyway?

bottom line is, my conversion would of been done last year if the companies i went with pull their fingers at of them backsides, hence why i'm still waiting

I guess the questions is 'to date' no one as actually seen, heard, sat in, drove in, seen on facebook or youtube a charged 197. The question is WHY NOT?

Bic pulled out...but it appears what the charger was fitted and good to go within 10 days of removing it from Bics? Seans on his third engine, Woody was couldn't do it.....others who have gone down the R26 route haven't either......Lets hope this will prove to be more successful than others.

I know i agree, we did have a long talk he did tell me what had happened what it has now, what it did have blah blah. But he has said its been done so in ways we kinda got to take his word even if he hasn't posted nothing..

Im aware that its been a long and daunting task for the people who have attempted it, iv been on this forum since near the start (the old site) and have watched many many people try it, so the first person that shows a video of it fully charged and still running 6 months after with no problems will get mass amount of respect from me.

The mapping dude, just getting the fueling spot on, i dont no the ins and outs as i was to busy grinning like a **** when it was fired up to listen. Think its running to rich low down. So nothing major but obviously it needs to be spot on.

As soon as its back you guys can hear it yourself at the meet, it will be at all the shows this year. I'll get some vids up when i can.
 
A good intercooler runs cold enough to not melt internals. Only thing that stopped me was the price tag. I did all the prep work just never got round to getting it fitted. Seans melts holes on low comp. 5th attempt /rebuild hes on. Hes just gone to forged pistons.

Forging is the safest way, nimonic valves, uprated springs, forged rods, forged con bolts, forged pistons. Run the charger on low boost it should be fine i would never risk throwing a rod through the block or snapping a belt under heavy boost the f4r wasnt made for it. Fuel pump wont cope with excessive boost and could possibly run fuel deprived.

My head was battered and my wallet left empty. Loving the efforts thgh mike. :smile:
 
Yep will be made available, when mines finished and prob with a some abuse and miles under my belt. But no doubt they will announce when there happy :smile:

Mike....I guess you wont know until your in it. I guess equally you won't know how the gearbox and clutch will hold out either....I also get the feeling Jamsport will be selling you a uprated clutch and LSD.

Have a word with Steve, the step change from 200 to 250+ is a massively expensive one. Steve is an experienced modder and that car has taken to very, very dark places and there is no turning back. If anything goes, you have so much invested in the car (and I'm not only talking money) that you have to fix it. Also Steve said his car was making 360 NM but became undriveable until further suspension\transmission mods.
Don't want to sound too negative and I hope it works well as it opens opportunities for the rest of us to follow. I am def keeping my options open.

An lsd would benefit a standard car tbf. if you want more power then yes maybe clutch, but im just guessing im no mechanic. 250/260 isnt a daft figure, the clio's chassis will easily handle it.

Im confident this will be fine, i trust jamsport, they very much no what they are doing. they have developed off there own backs in the ford market and are the leaders of the pack so to speak. This isnt just a we'll give it a go effort. These guys are the only tuners i'd use after seeing some other monkeys that are 'RS specialist's'.

Im not worried at all, ive had big talks with them saying basiscally i will rape it lol!! And they have basically said, go for it lol!!

Tbh I thought the car was superb before the last update. Tis gonna be a proper machine when its finished.
