High level to rca converter

Hi guys. looking at putting the sub from my old car into my clio mk3 (update list).

im looking at getting a high level to rca converter thingy.
just notice that some of them have multiple wires leading into it. i know that four of them will be right -+ and left -+ but whats the other one for and do i need it? remote wire??

The 5th wire is a ground lead. Its supposed to help get rid of the interference, but mine doesnt work too well to be honest. But this doesnt matter if its just for a sub.
 
i suppose you can do. Orderpends where you make the connection. i did mine from the front speaker wires, as i found that a better sound came from the front rather than the back ones.
