E2 TSB Albi Blue Progress

TYRES UPDATE:
Fuel economy: before
half a tank to Nottingham and back to cov
Full tank London and back

Fuel economy: after
Quarter tank to Nottingham as back
Three quarter tank to London and back

I'm pretty impressed just by changing tyres. You can feel it's a lot smoother ride too

So I was going to attempt the throttle body bore to 64mm today and as I was driving home from B&Q with some dremel tools I saw a Motorsport engineering company. Walked in, had a chat and they're going to do it for me for £55.

I just need to pull it off and it will be done within a couple of hours!

Car went in for a service a few days ago. Everything's all nice and new. Just had a few quotes for things they diagnosed:

Rear brake pads and discs supplied and fitted £222.48 inc vat.

osf steering rack end supplied and fitted is £48.48 inc vat

Cambelt change is £324.00 inc vat.

Not bad in my eyes tbh I was worried id have to pay out for a new steering rack!

Throttle body is still sitting in the boot of my car I should really get that fitted ...

So I've started to notice that she's got slightly more torque. To be honest i thought there would be a bigger increase. I felt i had more of an increase with a panel filter and silicone hoses if I'm honest. I can understand why a remap would go hand in hand with this mod so maybe ill look into that next year.

I'm still considering the centre silencer removal bit mindful of the flat spot. I'm not ready to throw a few hundred into an exhaust system. I'd rather get some H&R lowering springs & 20mm spacers

What do you think of the conti sport 5 compared to the goodyear eagle F1 2? Thinking about swapping to the eagles in the new year.

I had conti 3 on my previous car and even though the tyre size was slightly different (215/45-18) I still think the grip was better in the wet & dry. I'd go back to contis once the F1's are ready to change

Two agonising days in the rain at night after work changing headlight bulbs and finally they're sorted!

Left = old and right = new - I have changed both just incase your wondering

I've come across another problem though - it looks as if part of the headlight is damaged as my adjuster is not working - the light constantly points upwards :worried:

Me and my mate decided to tackle the popping bumper today so we started to strip off the front end - it was much easier than we anticipated!! The how-to on here was a top help!

Once all the bolts were un-done the bumper was off ...

Decided whilst we were there that I'd spray the front grills. I've had a black badge cover for about 2 months now so a perfect reason to get that on!

Good old panther black from the old motor! Had plenty of that left to use.

Once they were prepped, primed and sprayed everything went back on the car...

Next on the to do list PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS!!

Look real good mate, how did you find getting an even grill on the coatings?

Can't imagine it was easy!

Good job I know what you meant lol

I had a decent aerosol from a specialist so that was one benefit. It did mean getting close to the grille to get in between but all of that was done within a couple of hours.
