Crunching/grinding from 2nd to 3rd

Hi,

Bought my 197 from a garage just over a month ago, everything was fine until i began to kick the cars hole in a wee bit (as you do with a new car). All gears are fine apart from changing from 2nd to 3rd gear above 5,000 revs and it crunches/grinds going into gear.

Should i be concerned or is this common?

I was thinking maybe it was gear synchros?

Cheers bud, Still got warranty on the car so thinking on taking it upto them at the start of the week and get them to have a look, seems like its a common problem though
