Cold Start Issue

hi guys

my car cant seem to differentiate cold start from warm start up.
in the morning the car starts first time but idles below 1000 and stutters as a result
if i blip the throttle it goes to cold idle immediately 1100 or so and drops as it should.
this happens whenever the car has been standing overnight.
no sub zero temps where im from

two things i can think of are the TB or coolant temp sensor
removed and cleaned the TB no issues during driving or startup when warm.

Mine is very similar. Cold start (first thing in the morning after sitting overnight) it will idle at 1100 for a few minutes.

If I leave it idling, when it starts to warm up (2-3mins), it drops to just below 1000.

It does stutter a bit and is quite lumpy, but I assumed this was all down to the Clio being completely ****e from cold. Pretty much drives like it's broken until it's warmed up. Gets annoying because my commute to work is only 5 miles, it never really reaches a good operating temp.

nah mate i think you slightly missing my point.
when i start it after sitting overnight it wont idle above 1000 unless i blip the throttle once.
it tries to idle at 850-900 as if its warm

Coolent temp sensor differentiates cold and warm starting could be faulty

Mine has been doing this for some time now. i usually just put it off then start it again.
This morning though it wouldn't even idle it was just missing out the back. once i got it to start again it was fine as if nothing happened.

My car is going to Renault on Thursday hopefully they can give me a answer (probably not)

Go to a specialist instead of Renault.

does anyone know if there are 2 Coolant sensors? 1 for the ECU and 1 for the Dash?

Just hope it can get sorted. its the only thing that annoys me about the car.

I never had this issue when i had the K&N filter in the car i wonder if i should put it back and monitor it?

Sorry for the late reply. The car went to Renault, my TB was cleaned and they reset the auto adaptives. It was much better after that and i was really happy, BUT the issue has returned now. So i dont know what to do.

How did they reset these adaptives? disconnect battery?

Im not sure how renault did it. i assume it was using the Renault CLIP tool.
