Choices ?? :s

peeps,

I am getting my alloys refurbished in the very near future!
However i am undecided on what paint to go for, normal spray paint or powder coating!!!

I have had quotes off two different companies -the wheel speacilist and smart wheels - for all four alloys!

Smart wheels have quoted £180 for full refurb and spray painted gloss black !!

The wheel speacilist have quotes £216 for full refurb and powder coated gloss black!!

So my dilema is which one to choose??

arghhh hate aving a choice

Also if any of you have used either company, let me know what you think of their work!! (both Macnhetser branches)

I would say powder coated too, I haven't had it done myself, just hear very good things about it. Supposedly bullet-proof when done properly, can't see it is that strong but certainly more durable than painted/laquered.

Powdercoating. Paint chips way too easy compared to powdercoating.

Powder coated, seems pretty hard as long as you don't say catch the inside of the rim on the edge of a sharp brake disk.......

Powder coating definitely...had mine powder coated gloss black although now wish I'd waited until nearer summer when all the dirt and sh!t is off the roads as i haven't kept them clean for longer than an hour yet!

had mine done with wheelspecialist in manchester and im very happy with them and anthracite powder coat they did looks a treat.

Cheers for the advice guys!! looks like the wheel specialist it is then!!
Did get an original quote of something like £270 but got an email a few days ago saying they've got a 20% off month this month making it £216 so tht will do me nicely!!

LSN in Castleford will do powdercoating for £120, but you need to take the wheels to them stripped down.

There are probably powdercoating places near you who will do it for a similar amount.
