Cam belt

Ive got to have my cam belt done this year and not sure were to take it . Renault are offering 5 year guarantee but are more expensive , was thinking of 519 or driving down to where Karl works as Renault Enfield near me are pretty pants. What do you guys think anywhere else in Essex that can be recommended?

Depending what you want Renault £500-£1000
Buying of Karl and getting specialist to do it £400-£600 that's with water pump as well don't forget but you don't have to do it

Ive just had mine done at renault. £669 with a level 1 service and check over, the water pump wasnt changed. It was done in a day and even had a courtesy car for free which may have been mistreated a fair bit LOL

Renault £720 with dephaser and water pump done and that was quoted at the Renault dealer Karl works at . Is this a good price and has anybody used AMD

Ill definately be doing waterpump, ill probably have a service done the same time too.

A renault specialist would be cheaper wouldn't they ?

I was thinking of buying everything off him including service kit too and then gettin a local renault specialist to do it. Looks like it would work out alot cheaper

Did mine with my brother (Qualified Audi Mechanic) at home. Only did the cambelt and didn't do the water pump.

£80 for the belt kit
£90 for the genuine timing tools

£170 and still have the tools in my garage.

nope! got my belt done by dealer and was cheaper then a few local "specialists"

Karl's service department quoted me £918 for 5 year service and cam belt. Lowest so far was £675 from a trader on Cliosport - 519 automotive I think it was.

Change the dephaser at the belt change too?? flipping heck this is getting expensive, gotta get ours done in November and the 182 will need a new Aux belt next year, note but bloody cost these Clio's lol

Had mine done first at we're Luke had his done and it's top notch service and done by Renault enthusiasts and Renault trained(properly) And you can't beat Karl's service either:hug:
