Bye Bye MK III RS

Thats coz there were no other cars like them at the time in the sector.

The MK3 has had lots of competition.

I agree with the latter. In terms of the chassis and driver feedback - price wise it has no competitors.

However, running costs compared to both the 172 cup and 182 (which are more agile due to the lower weight, but less composed) don't justify the lackluster performance imo.

Especially since neither make anywhere near the 197 / 200 claimed (albeit that's PS).

I'd choose my 172 cup over my 197 any day for smiles and running costs.

The last 200 is LHD so is not destined for the UK market

A sad day indeed! :worried:

Very sad to see the end of an era...

... although hopefully the Clio IV will prove to be a worthy successor (even if it's got a turbo strapped to it!).

DANG I'm obviously a lucky lad... I got it brandnew from my dealer on October the 22nd ;-) it was delivered to him on Oct. the 19th...

And I enjoy every mile on it... coming from a VW Lupo GTI which still is in my garage (my girlfriend wanted to keep mine and sold HER Lupo GTI) and still is a grim sleeper ;-)
