Automatic lights

my automatic lights are on all the time and if you press the switch at the end of the stall or turn the stalk it makes no difference at all. Has anyone else had any issues like this?

From memory you have to hold the button on the end of stalk for ages.

10-15 seconds. Maybe without engine running

I think you only need to be stationary, engine on/off doesn't matter. But yes definitely need to hold it for quite a while.
