Arran

It's ok, not fixed it yet. It's very light damage. Which reminds me, I never put any pictures up did I! Lol! Give me a few mins and I'll go get some.

Or you on about the water in the boot? If so then I will begin a very long story!

Well the bumper is still grazed and cracked at the back. I need to try and get it sorted, I just haven't had the time.

I rang up this afternoon and booked my car in at Renault Wolverhampton. I was actually going to start a thread about it.

They want the car for 3 days!!!!!!!! 3 days! Just to investigate the water ingress to the boot. To top it all off, they want £20 A DAY!!!!! for the bloody hire car insurance! So if I want a car, it's going to cost me 60 sodding quid!

What a joke. I'm hacked off because the door strips they fitted are falling off after less than a year and they didn't fix the boot banging or the seats rattling either when it went in for that last time too.

I think I might have to go on RS forum and start a thread about the waste of space Renault Wolverhampton! Do you know if Sutton Park in Stourbridge are any better Roy? Do they give you a free car?

dont know about free car but Martin used them and he said they were ok
they dont do some of the warrenty work.give them a ring or drop in and ask they cant be any worse than wolvo

Yes, I suppose I could always give them a ring and find out. Wolves are starting to get on my tits somewhat! Lol!

you could always have your own insurance cover the courtesy car. They would probably require confirmation but thats not the end of the world.

I don't think insurance companies cover hire cars do they? You see, Renault Wolverhampton use Europ Car hire company (or who ever it is) to supply vehicles to customers. They don't have any of their own. They pay the hire cost, but not the insurance. Which to me is a little strange, especially given the car is in for 3 days for free warrenty repairs when the dealer has caused some of the problems in the first place! And the other problems are caused by Renualt's building skills!

Good luck buddy! never had to have warranty work on a car but it sounds like a right pain in the arse!

Oh and guess what I did today.

Reversed my work van in to a lampost. I need to be carefull!

It comes in 3's Arran, go lock yourself in your room for a few days.

Is the bumper itself damaged or is it just hte paintwork?

The paintwork is damaged on the front, but the bumper is still in tact. It's behinde the grills that the bumper is cracked. If anyone has taken out the grills before, you will know where I'm on about. There are 3 bits of the bumper plastic behind the last 3 virticle bars on the grills. They have all snapped at the top. This makes it near on impossible to get the grills back in if you take them out, and has also made the bumper a bit flimsy. I had to pop the grills back in because I had popped them out at the top, or rather the wall had popped them out at the top! Lol!

Stourbridge did my service on the 200 - they were OK, decent price for a main dealer. I had asked them to do some warranty work at the same time and they couldn't fix the issue, they were supposed to get back to me but that was on March 30th!!!!

May try Hylton Renault in Worcester as it looks like they're now an official RS specialist
