hey

overtook someone last week in 3rd and rather than choosing 4th i accidentally went into 2nd, esp turned on, check engine and injection signs came on and the car wouldnt really drive which wasnt surprising. got it towed to a garage and they said it needed a new throttle body which i thought was weird but phoned KTEC and spoke to a friend and they both said it was possible but was a bit weird. has anyone else done it on here? had to get the part as i couldnt even drive the car.

If it is fixed with just a new throttle body you will have been very lucky.

I went from 6th to 2nd in a diesel! Safe to say I had to fit a new engine!!!

this happened to one of the 172 race cars I look after during a race. The cam timing will have slipped. You'll be luck if there are no bent valves

I haven't driven the car properly but it feels ok and sounds the same, if the cam timing has changed will my car be slightly less powerful now?

yes, i picked the car up yesterday but havent driven it properly yet.
