Hello there clio197.net

Just fitted new standard Renault steering wheel as the old one had melted quite badly, and could not put up with it, so forked out the £150 and now looks loads better.

Have any of you out there got any ideas about how I can prevent this from happening again cheers...

Would be really grateful for ideas or suggestions thanks.

Don't park in the sun if you do cover the wheel, if you have sweaty hands blow cool air on them to stop it getting on the wheel and you gripping tighter.

Cheers mentlepen

steering wheel had the melt when bought it, like most of the cars I looked at, so basically just be careful.

It'll still happen again I would imagine, it's the poor quality materials used.

You would have been better gettting your original wheel retrimmed by somewhere like Edge Automotive. Probably costs about the same and would outlast the car.
