Well abit of an update and a farewell to this progress blog [emoji853] (part 1)
So to rewind [emoji672] Snetterton wasn’t great arrived the night before straight from mapping at RSTuning and we had a little water leak from the thermostat housing.
So pulled the car out of the trailer at the hotel and set about re sealing the housing
The next morning we arrived at the track got unloaded and I thought I’d take the car up and down the pits to check everything over as we hadn’t had a chance to test drive before the track day.
All was not good it was running terrible massive fuel surge. So we topped the tank up and thought we would try sighting laps and see how it goes.
It went terrible with massive fuel surge on all right hand bends.
So I he car sat looking pretty in the garage all day.
I managed to get the track day photographer to snap some pit Lane pics
After a long trip home we set about fixing the fuelling issue sorted. We went with a tied and tested method we have used before a few times.
Standard fuel pump back in the in-tank pump and then a Nuke surge tank with a dw200 fuel pump.
While we mapped the car we had some issues with the fuel pressure regulator dropping pressure at anything over 5.5k revs so we changed this out also for a TurboSmart fpr1200 stealth edition
With the fuelling issues now fixed it was back to mapping to see what we could get from the car.
This time making a nice 351bhp and 259ftlb.
End of part 1
