airbox blanking plate

can anyone tell me or have photos of where the blanking plate is on the front of the air intake on a 200


i saw a thread on here a while back but i can work out where it is as its quite a close up shot


can it be removed without taking off the front bumper on the 200?

Have a look at that, you will need to take the bumper off tbh. Not a hard job. There's a plate that is outlined in that picture, then there's a sort of box behind which you can take off too.

I got if off without removing the bumper. Just undone a couple of the fixings in the engine bay which allows you to lift the front panel slightly.

I have girl's hands so managed to fit my hand in the small gap. Word of warning though, I did lose some skin in the process lol. I just used brute force to snap the plate off.
