Airbag Warning

Got out of my car last night and everything was fine...got in this morning and the 'Check Airbag' warning flashed up and now the little orange spanner is a permanent feature on my speedo.

Its due a service in 1000 miles, is this just something programmed into the computer to appear so you have to take it into the garage?

i had this problem with mine it was the sensors under the passanger seat somethink knocked it loose prob someones foot getting in the back that was with the recaros dont no if it the same for standard seats

No pictures sorry, but it was under the passanger seat, one of the sensors had been kindly knocked free by one of my mates feet no doubt, easy enough to pop back on and warning light has disappeared.
