Airbag message warning

I have removed every airbag from my car and the standard seats.

The airbag light is on - can cover up this light.

Wasnt expecting the stop light and the message on the display saying check airbag.

Is there anyway to get rid of these? Remove airbag fuse? I've seen about resistors etc... But I want to disable the whole system not just bypass one airbag.

Does anyone know if the airbag module could be removed to clear these?

Any other impact?

I tried disconnecting the module tonight.

The Check Airbag message wasnt displayed. However it did display the message ESP/ASR disabled. This then clears and the milage displays as normal.

The airbag icon, ESP/ASR and spanner icons are displayed.

Once the car was turned off the message steering wheel not locked was displayed.



So.... this seems ok. The spanner is - visit an approved dealer. The stability and traction control being disabled is fine too - the car is for the track.

Will take the dash clocks out and cover up the airbag light, ESP/ASR and spanner.
