Air-con recharge

anyone tried these cans of air con refrige gas?

i saw some at halfords before and thought about trying it as my AC doesent seem very powerful.

my 182 AC wasn't great and that was brand new and my mrs had a nissan which is probably the same parts and that AC wasnt great either.

maybe the AC is a bit weak in these cars but was thinking about trying this to see if it makes a difference. i doubt it has ever been recharged anyway

garaged charge about £50 to service the AC and i bet all they do is squirt this stuff in

a proper air con serive involves a machine to pull out the gas and oil - seperate it and measure it

new quantity of gas is then put in along with the filtered lubrication oil
the vacum in the system draws the gas in

i wouldnt use an aerosol on the clio system....on an old "banger" car then yes for the cost/ease

mine needs doing again

and as far as i know the quantities are -

gas = 530g +/- 35g
oil = 135ml +/- 10mg

that can is meant to have the lub oil in it as well.

i will have a look around and see what price i can get to have it done properly
