2nd Service

Right then my Clio 197 is due its second service - its only done 11k!

I've rang Renault in Chester and they want £247 for the 2nd service which I find a joke considering its an oil change and that about it.....so what do I do?

I've heard good things about Birchdown so thinking of taking it there. Anyone had any experience? I used to take all my previous cars to specialists but dont know what to do with the Clio. Would people look at it differently when I come to sell it?

Any advice or feedback would be great....or if anyone know a cheaper Renault Main Dealer price please let me know!

take it to birchdown will be in much better hands there

i dont think having a specialist service history is a problem at all id prefer buying a car with specialist history rather than main dealer!

mine had its last service at BTM and the buyer off mine didnt bat and eyelid!

Can Birchdown alter the dash service light and check for errors on the system?

you can do the service light yourself so that isnt a problem

If you still have a Renault warranty, will it effect it if you have servicing done at a non renault garage?

Don't need to be vat registered, as if they business makes less than think it's about 60k they don't have to be vat registered. But the garage must use oem parts as to not void your warranty.

Birchdown say on there website it wont affect warrenty so I'll be on the phone Tuesday and getting it booked in

garage has to be vat registered to not void warranty. It doesnt matter what your turnover over is, you can be VAT registered wether you take over 60k or not

I service my r27 at birchdown - top lads and should cost circa £150

Well my Clio has been booked in with the lads at Birchdown so will let you know what I think....already though they sound a helpful bunch so should be good!

How do you do that? I plan on getting mine done when I get back from my holiday, jsut want to turn it off for a little while so I dont have to keep switching between Service due message and my Miles left....

(EDIT) Ive just just found out.....

Hold in bottom button on Right stick for a while until it returns to normal
