Running costs aren't an obstacle, just want something thats going to be fun to drive.

Just wondering if anybody on here has owned both? Can they be compared to each other? MPG wise, much difference if you dont rape the arse off them? I.e a work journey at 50mph on B roads. Just want overall opinions really :) Thanks

Better mpg than the 197 I take it? That just the 's' or the works?

I'm torn between a Mini Cooper S JCW and a 197. But I wouldn't say there would be much difference between the two? Apart from handling maybe. Obviosuly the Mini would have more gadgets being BMW derived.
