Are these 18" Turinis, or 17"? I think 17" are not made for the Clio, but there seems to be some confusion about that.

Is it an idea to change the 5th and/or 6th gear for longer ratios? So use the first 4 gears for pleasure, and the 5th and 6th for economy? Or is the trouble/expense not worth the mpg-gain?

The majority seems to be preferring the Recaros. But the wear issue is holding me off, so I'll think I'll leave them for what they are and use the money saved for paying for (most of) the leather upholstery on the regular seats. Thanks everybody for your input!

I don't think this is the place to bash other people's choices. Everybody has got his own taste, and who are we to judge them on that? I just wanted some serious opinions on this matter, so let's stick to that, ok?

For my upcoming Clio Cup I am wondering about the Recaro seats. Apparently the seating position is so high, that the original seats have a better seating position? Is this true? If so, I can better spend the extra money on some other refinements! Your opinion please! Thank you in advance, Vincent
