I've had similar happen, it was water in the button. I dried it out and cleaned the contacts and worked again. The rubber had ripped on mine and it started again as soon as it rained so I ended up getting a new one from Renault, wasn't too expensive.

You can install a start button if you want that windows that you're used to feel. I did it on mine and it logs straight in to the desktop and is a lot easier to use. If you go to www.ninite.com it's under utilities called classic start. There are loads of other useful programs on that website...

450?? wow, that's impressive. I think the most I have ever got is about 300. I have tried a few times to keep the revs down, but I get bored very fast and end up undoing all my good work in about 10 mins of giving some on the back roads, the wallet doesn't thank me but it's always worth it!
