Haha, I had an Oulton cage in mine so I could get away with running slicks at track days. Hated it, noisy and a pain in the arse only having 2 seats for day to day usage.
No offense but why would you want the inconvenience of scaffolding in the back of your car if its not going to have some proper seats and harnesses fitted to it? Think of the weight!
The new Clio is quicker round a track than the 197/200. I don't see why everyone has such a problem with it. The 197/200 was nothing compared to the last cup racer. Crazy talk all this.
I drove one about 6 laps round Oulton Park and the shift speeds where spot on if I'm honest, you just adapt to it really quickly and it works really well. Barps and pops on downshift and the upshift is insanely quick.
If you haven't got much to spend a standard set of 197 wheels fetch for £160 tops, surely you cant get anything cheaper without ruining the look of the car.
My passenger side rear top mount broke on mine, I thought the shocks where buggered at first. Started off as a slight knock and got progressively worse over a few weeks.
Going to be an absolute beast this, I've been thinking long and hard lately about what to do with my car, selling being the sensible choice but looking though this thread and going for a drive tonight is changing my mind!
