Wiper issues!

Hi all, having issues with my wipers, when turning on the clio the wipers ‘wipe’ 3 times and then dont again for another 2 minutes ish. They seem very intermittent! My thoughts are the UCH may of had it, but just wanted to see what others thought, thank you!

Probably seized, remove scuttle and take a look.

It’s seized, mine did this and then snapped. Do something about it now before the knurls wear off on the wiper arms.

Ive removed the scuttle and all looks fine. All moves freely also!

You may have dirt in the stubs that the wiper attaches to. You can undo them with a socket but they may snap if not done correctly.
If you take them off, clean it out with a wire brush and apply some light grease to lubricate it and reassemble.

Brought it into work to work on today, hopefully i can sort it, wiper motor was working fine when the rest of the linkage wasnt attached! Thank you!

I fixed a wiper mechanism there are E-Clips that are hard to see holding the wiper arm posts in don't try to knock them out with a hammer you will break the castings.
