Which engine oil?

Hi guys!
I am sure this has been covered through several topics, but for you that are servicing your Clio's outside Renault service network, which engine oil are you using? Some stick with ELF, some use Motul (like me)..
Some experiences, recommendations?
Also, has any of you replaced transmission oil in order to get smoother gear change?
