Wheel Damage

Had my new Nankang's fitted at my local dealer amongst other things when I got home and cleaned off the white coating used when fitting tyres noticed scratches all around the wheel on the two front wheels where the new tyres had been put on.

The dealer is saying they were already like that but they weren't. What could have caused this?

Visiting the dealer Friday to discuss with the manager and technician.

depending on what tyre machine they used it could be the bead feeding heel that's done it

Of course they are going to say that. Dont suppose you have any photos of them just before you took them there?

That's deffo a fitting Mark from the bead heal

I onky trust one place to swap my tyres and travel 20 miles for the privilege

Far better than some low rate tech scufffing the shut out of my wheels

I have a picture taken a few days before but not specifically of the wheels so it's not really good enough to see.

It's just proving they have done that, my word against theirs.

Why don't they just own up?
I always find honesty is always the best way to deal with incidents like this.

That is defo a fitting mark. It's perfectly parallel with the tyre.
