Good evening every one,

as the title suggests whats the recommended torque setting on the wheel bolts?

I tend to tighten to 110NM but is this to tight?

Thanks

pretty sure the book says 140nm.... which is very tight

I generally go to around 110-120nm and haven’t had an issue so far. I certainly wouldn’t do a locking bolt to 140nm.

Nice one thanks mate,

I’m going to stick to a similar setting to what you’ve recommended then, I usually set mine at 110nm & haven’t had any issues yet either.

thanks mate

Renault will have set the torque according to an awful lot of calculations so don't be afraid to set to the factory settings. That said, I only used to do my locking nut to around 100 because I never trusted it!
Nowadays I just run five nuts.

I’ve gone with 115Nm across all 5 nuts including the locking wheel nut, which has never caused an issue
