What lights to go for?

Right well reading up and seeing people recomend piaa I'm going to change the bulbs over to piaa ones. Just unsure which ones to go for:

1: http://www.piaaonline.co.uk/product/157-49/PIAA-H7-Type-Chrome-Mirror-White-H361-H361

2: http://www.piaaonline.co.uk/product/164-50/PIAA-Bulb-Extreme-White-Plus-H7-Type-HE309-HE309

I think 1 will look better when the headlight is off as it is as it says 'mirrored' but think 2 may give better light output? Don't want to see blue tips when the lights are off though.... They are going into standard 200 lights by the way.

non of the above. . . they go out and flicker my mate had them on his fiesta :worried: not very good.

Do you have reflector or projector headlamps on your car?

If projector then you could get a HID kit for the same price

You could still get a HID kit but the beam pattern will probably be horrible and a possible MOT fail

Yep, bumper off.

It's not exactly easy to just change for normal bulbs from what I remember. The dealer will take the bumper off if you take it into them for a new headlight bulb

Fried eggs are a dodle to change if theyre anything like the 197. Just the headlights and sidelights that are a bitch

You dont have to take the bumper off, I have just had a philips hid xenon kit fitted, the garage I took it to did not take off the bumper, it took 2 hours to fit on a RS200.

I'll second this, I fitted hid's to the standard 200 lights, without taking the bumper off. There was a thread a while back.

Where done that?

My kit was fitted at a garage called Autostreet in Enfield North London, they done the passenger side first, took off the air trumpet and both battery top covers, the hardest part and the bit that took the longest was removing and putting back the clip that holds the bulb in, the drivers side they removed the filler neck for the washer bottle which just pulls off, took 2 hours to do whilst I watched them do it
