What do you take to a track day ?

Blyton on Saturday, first proper trackday , what essentials do I need ? Thinking :

Oil
Socket set
Spare wheel
Towing eye
Water

Not sure about Jack , should I take one ?

Here a general list of what I take with me, might be of some help

Fuel
Spare Wheels wets and drys
Jack
Axle Stands
Tool box with liquids and every tool I use when working on the car at home, once its been used on the car it goes in the tool box.
Oil
Brake fluid with some tubing
Funnel
Torque Wrench
Tyre Pressure guage (I aim for 32 when hot so starting atound 26 when cold)
Pump

For topping up , remember you are driving the car much much harder than on the road. Brake fluid can easily boil on track so a good idea to carry fluid and a means to bleed them.

Montana, I take it its CSF you're doing? See you there

I'm taking my 'track day box' which is just odds and sods in a box which I throw in the car;

helmet
tyre inflator
oil
brake fluid
spare pads (most likely won't need these but better safe than sorry)
socket set
breaker bar.
exhaust putty (damn blow)

i need a torque wrench too but I'll pinch one off someone on the day

if I was doing a local track and had a garage I'd take another set of wheels, jack and stands.

you don't necessarily need anything, but a tyre pressure gauge is recommended. There'll be people there willing to lend you a hand/tools if you need them

Why are you taking brake fluid and oil ? If you have no leaks and everything is alright you wont need them .

If you develop a leak you'll wish you had spare.

- helmet
- tyre pressure gauge
- torque wrench
- 12V compressor
- work gloves
- 1L engine oil
- energy drinks
- good mood

8 slicks 6 wets
Compressor
Socket set
Spare drive shafts
Brake pads and discs
Oil
Brake fluid
Duct tape
Tie wraps
Pressure gauge
Wheel bearings
Fuel

That must be a big box! Need to fix my blow before hand too, every clio i have had has always had a slight blow! :@

See you there!

You sir, sound like a professional

Tyre pressure gauge
Torque wrench
Some basic hand tools (sockets/spanners/screwdriver/pliers)
Tie wraps and tape.
I've never considered brake fluid until I read this but I might in future.
A rain coat.

I try not to take too much as it'll have to stay tied down in the boot of the car as I don't want to just leave it lying around outside.

Don't think they will let you on track with a boot full of stuff.

I usually take a couple of spare wheels depending on what track I am at.
a fluids box, oil, brake fluid, coolant, Window cleaner and some rainex.
Some clothes and blue roll.
2 helmets.
Air compressor.
axle stands and Jack.
tyre pressure gauge and laser temp gauge.
I usually remove the back seats to get it all in.

And most importantly at least 2 20l cans of fuel.
There is no petrol station on Blyton and you can soon find yourself short of fuel.

As others have said a long sleeve tshirt or jacket. Most tracks will not let you go on with short sleeves.
Also something I have started to do since a couple of mates have driven my car on track is to take out some trackday insurance.

For 2 people it was £85 I know a lot of people don't but for peace of mind I have started to.

some impressive lists in here. where do you guys leave all your gear, when on track?

its just a regular size box. Doesn't take up much room.

If you don't get the blow sorted beforehand, you can use my paste.

Regarding leaving things tied down in the boot, that's a massive no no!

some eejit last year tried going on track with a boot full of wheels, boxes and a ****ing fire extinguisher all rolling around in the back?!

he was swiftly told to sort his **** out before returning to the track

Cheers, I assume there is somewhere to store everyone's tools / spare wheels etc

Just seen this after replying above.

Blyton doesn't have garages but the admin say we have a gazebo or similar for storing things.

But I'm not sure how big it is/how many people will be storing things so I'm not taking too much and leaving what I have In my tent
