What do people think to an idea which i had to day at work while talking to a mate. I love the idea of a clio with the meg engine conversion so the Idea is buy a 197 with a few kkks on the clock and get ktec or some one who will do a conversion for me, so i get a meg engined clio for under 10k may bes, Only a idea at mo but what do people think??
 
£5k for a well used 197 and £5k for the conversion including engine? Could work yes.
 
You can do it for cheaper than £10k! Take it to SteC in Bolton

£5k Clio
£1500 for conversion
£1500 for used engine and ancillaries

£10k is much more than you need to pay IMO.

Apart from engine conversion you might have to renew other parts due to high mileage - suspension, brakes, steering parts, etc and interior trim might be worn, etc, etc
This could cost as much as a lower mileage car in the end and when you came to sell the higher mileage could put a lot of buyers off?
