Weird gearbox behaviour

Ok so I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I live on a hill, a steep one, I've been parking nose facing up and first thing in the morning my gearbox selection is a bit rough, not crunching but very stiff 1st gear.
I booked my car in for a oil change this Saturday...but since Monday I've been parking on the hill nose pointing down and I've had no issues with my box at all, it's as smooth as silk and for a 9 year old you just wouldn't know, it's that smooth.
What's happening?

From cold 1st and reverse are very stiff for me. I let the car idle for a couple of mins and pump the clutch a few times and all is good. Not sure if the oil level because you are facing forwards down hill would help. A gearbox oil change will do no harm but have read it doesn't cure the cold stiffness. I have changed the gearbox oil in my 182 twice since I've owned it and it's very smooth for a 12 year old car but only done 38k miles.

I guess when I park on the hill the oil runs to the back of the box? - i've no idea what the inside of the box looks like and how much oil actually covers the internals.

It takes 2 litres approx to fill the box up..as above press the clutch a few times and let the car run for a couple of mins..should be fine

Same here, I think it's just a characteristic of the box. Nothing to worry about
