Weather Attacks 197??

Sounds like you simply overheated the clutch. It can happen during prolonged periods in stop start traffic when you sometimes only partially engage the clutch to creep forward.
If it's stopped doing it then nothing to worry about.

Thanks Sean.

Three and half hours stop start is unprecedented in any car on most normal driving occasions.
Car has been rock solid clutch wise.

My clutch on the Golf was telling me for weeks that it was slipping before it required changing.

Buying a Renault again reminds me of a past girlfriend I had.
Looks good and performs well but is highly unreliable, costly and never does what you think they will do.

Having said that you still keep looking at her on Facebook!

Haha the best description of a Clio I’ve seen in a long time!

An update to my Clio ownership.

1.) For some reason major "Kangaroo" when having waited in standing traffic and then moving into island or from junction.
2.) Fuel level does not always register after fill up.
Need to do a second fill up to get gauge to register
3.) Rack/ steering movement giving heavy squeal when parking.
4.) Major break squeal

Plus point
Older Porsche Boxster attempted to get past me on the drive home. Not a chance.
